How To Avoid Being Blindsided In Business

An interview from First Wives World with Amy Dorn Kopelan, Executive Director of Coach Me, which:
teaches women how to "master the subtle skills and unwritten rules" necessary for career advancement and leadership. The COACH ME Institute specializes in group coaching, business education, and professional development programs that target emerging talent. COACH ME's research-based curriculum gives women the edge to maximize their individual potential and nurture their initiative. The Institute helps companies develop and retain their bench strength inside the corporation.
COACH ME targets:
  • Women with talent and promise who cannot afford professional coaching on their own
  • Women in middle management or first-line managers who want to take on leadership roles
  • Women from underserved multicultural populations who want to leverage their unique talents
She's marketing a book on this topic, but there's some good advice about taking power in this video.

Thanks for the tip, Tanya!

Readers, please note that Tanya is taking advantage of the comments section of a blog to market her product. This is a legitimate means of marketing as long as you pay attention to blog etiquette (as Tanya has) and connect your product (legitimately) to the post you're commenting on.

Here's some further reading on the topic:

I am all for women helping other women when it comes to business savvy. The best information is always passed down from ear to ear.I wanted to just throw in some information that has made my way and share it with the various resources that always lend a helping dose of information when I'm in need! Recently I've come across many women who are trying to start up their own web based businesses or looking for new utilities of organization with their web management. Microsoft has just released their Office Live Small Business web app which features the latest in online managing and business resources. It’s so easy to use it will just knock your socks off I'm sure, it’s definitely an answered prayer for small business developers. Definitely take a look at http://smallbusiness.officelive.com. I’m here if you have any questions, I work with Microsoft so don’t hesitate to ask!
